Program Objectives

This program will enable participants to:

Take advantage of Android’s APIs for data storage, retrieval, user preferences, files, databases, and content providers
Tap into location-based services, geocoder, compass sensors, and create rich map-based applications
Utilize the power of background services, threads, and notifications
Use Android’s communication APIs for SMS, telephony, network management, and internet resources (HTTP)
Secure, tune, package, and deploy Android applications
Gain introductory knowledge of cross platform development using Flutter

The duration of the Course is 3 months
Classes – 3 days a week; 2 hours per day

Course Roadmap

The course is spread over a total period of 12 weeks. During which, students are required to complete theory and practical work comprising of 72 credit hours. The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in Android development while also introducing modern cross platform development using Flutter.

Course Assessment

Students will be required to submit assignments to the trainers on a regular basis throughout the duration of the course. These assignments are designed to evaluate their understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical implementation skills in Android development as well as introductory Flutter development.

Each assignment will focus on specific topics covered in class, allowing students to gradually build their knowledge and improve their coding ability. Trainers will provide feedback on a continuous basis to help students identify their strengths and work on areas that need improvement.

Awards & Certificates

Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be awarded a Completion Certificate by NIST. This certificate recognises the learner’s dedication, participation, and successful achievement of all course requirements, including assignments, practical work, and the final project.

The certificate serves as an official acknowledgement of the skills gained in Android development and introductory Flutter concepts. It demonstrates that the student has completed structured training and has acquired the ability to design and develop mobile applications at a foundational level.
